Eight years ago I worked at my parents cafe. I remember one evening around 11 o'clock, a young customer did not want to go home and asked me nicely if he could stay at the cafe for the night, this young man's name is Donet. He said that he and his dad had a fight. I took him home, and my parents happily welcomed him. He must have liked my family because the next day he decided to stay again and the following day until it was time for him to go back to school. Eventually he became just like a member of the family, and my family loved him. He was a very nice kid. Twelve months later, my sister, Vine, decided to become a missionary, and she had to study some missions courses in Cagayan de Oro City where Donet lived. His family and Donet were so pleased to have Vine, and she did not have to pay for the boarding house. It was a blessing. I would say that "You reap what you sow."

I'm still amazed how the Lord help me take care of my little boys. Every year when my oldest son celebrates his birthday, I would whisper to him, "We made it." My family and hubby's family live far from us, and when we had our first son, no one was there to help me out, no one to ask questions about babies and everything. If I needed to know something, I had to read books, go to the internet and ask hubby; but when I was not satisfied with the answer, I always followed mother's instinct and prayed for guidance. I cried many many times for frustrations and heaviness in my heart for wanting to be with my Mama because she knew everything about babies. I learned to pray for wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Matt is four and Everett is two years old now, and we made it.

Being a mom to my two little guys is very very challenging, I did not fully understand and comprehend the joy and the beauty of having finally my own children until they were born. I desperately wanted to have a child right after I and my husband got married. The third month after marriage I conceived my first child. Matthew Ryan was delivered on October 30,2004. He is super cute! Well, all babies are cute, but mine was the cutest. I guess all moms say the same :) ! He had dark blue eyes when he was born, and to my disappointment, it turned color to dark brown. He looks like his daddy, and he was such a tiny little guy. He weighed 6.8 lbs and was 19 inches tall. Two years later Everett Scott was born. He is bigger, and I think he will be bigger than Kuya Matthew Ryan when he grows up. They have a different personality; one is active while the other one is very laid back They both love BOOKS. Everett likes to sleep with his books, and Kuya Matthew loves to sleep with his toys. I can't wait for them to grow. I know for sure that Matt will be playing baseball and Everett will enjoy reading books and cheering big bro in the field.
