Plus size Fashion

Girls never get tired of buying clothes. We have favorite stores to shop and visit from time to time, looking for the right sizes and styles.  Probably many times, we are happy, but not  really satisfied. We keep looking for something different, we want something fresh and crave a new fashionable style of dresses that would  enhance appearances.

Being concerned and conscious about our plus sizes is a thing of the past. Designers  are becoming more passionate in designing plus sizes dresses that would meet our satisfaction and compliments our figure. I think we represent ourselves by the way we dress. That is why we always want to look our best, particularly on special occasions such as going to an interview, going to a party and a date, or even just everyday wear.  We just want to look pretty, and that simply makes us  happy.

We girls are a little bit picky with clothes. We spend almost too much time just to buy one outfit, but when we  find the right one, it is worth all the hassle.  However, if we can not find the right one, it is frustrating and very disappointing. There is a plus size fashion site that you might want to consider visiting. At, you can find a lot of newly arrived styles that you might want to try. This is a plus size clothing store who loves your curves and understands your interests. It is always fun to try something new and different.

God bless the U.S.A!

Last spring, my son Matthew graduated from kindergarten. I was amazed how fast days fly. He is going to first grade next fall and he will be turning seven years old in October. He is still very interested to learn about sharks and whales. He is still into listening to Bible stories and American history; he talks  about the great men in the Bible and the men of the United States. His favorite men are George Washington,  Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr. He loves the song "God bless the U.S.A.," and he sings it again and again. He knows that as an American individual, he has the right to pursue happiness, life and liberty.  That's one reason why he loves this land. He has to know too that he has to stand up and defend the constitution and laws of the United States. I hope that he will continue to desire to learn about American history and appreciate the freedom he has now.  He definitely is exercising his Freedom of Speech. Freedom of religion is practiced right now as he goes with us to Church every Sunday, but he doesn't have anything to say to that. I hope he will continue to do so for the rest of his life and say as Joshua did, "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

The Right Savings Vehicle

Recently I began to ponder upon some of the changes in my life at a stage when most are planning for retirement.  Having two very young sons, however, has led me into a much different path in my musings.  How do I provide for their future?  As I thought about this, a number of options crossed my mind.  Almost any kind of investment comes with some risk.  Realizing the importance of having a solid financial base for a college education for them, I wished to minimize that risk while still ensuring the best possible return on my money.  As I have watched part of my retirement money melt away with stock market fluctuations along with the fact that the stock market is for the longer term, I realized that stocks were probably not the way to go.

Lately I have concluded that government bonds are no longer viable for this situation, so I turned to looking at what some of the local banks were offering.  While a simple savings account is fine for that rainy day fund ( and necessary too, I might add), that type of investment did not give the needed return.  It was very flexible, allowing me to withdraw money whenever needed and deposit whenever I had some extra, but it also had a rather low interest rate.  I checked into the money market which is also rather flexible and found a slightly better rate; however, after shopping around, I did find a savings vehicle that seemed to be a good fit.  Certificates of deposit yield a higher interest rate and allow flexibility of both amount and time.

A website that gives excellent information on different investments may be found at   Many of my questions were answered by this page.  The drawback to this type of investment is that there is a penalty for early withdrawal, but one may choose the length of the term until maturation.  Of course, the longer the term, the greater the rate will be.  One can find a good comparison of rates on the best  CD  by visiting Discovery Bank.

Dealing with bullies

Everyone has experienced a bully or two in life. Even powerful, godly Isaac had to face a bunch of meanies out in the middle of nowhere. You'd think he'd call on God to strike the culprits down with a stray lightning bolt or something. He was the chosen one, after all, How dare they try to make life so miserable over something as petty as a streak of envy?
He and his men worked hard to dig out each well. But every time they finished the grueling task, along came someone else trying to start something. Surprisingly Isaac just had his men move along and ignore the bullies. And one day the bullies finally had enough and quit bugging them.
You may not be fighting over wells in the desert, but you most likely know all too well how mean people can be. You're just minding your own business when, out of the blue, someone hurls a hurtful insult at you. With one unkind word or cruel look, they figuratively fill in all the wells you've been working so hard to dig. And it hurts.
The temptation is to launch a counterattack. But as a follower of Jesus, that's not the best answer . He said to turn the other cheek. In fact, that's exactly what he did on the cross. So follow Jesus' and Isaac examples. Keep moving forward in obedience and forgiveness, and leave retaliation up to God.

Leah watches from a distance. Her younger sis Rachel has always been more beautiful and outgoing. Leah is Jacob's first wife, but he is talking with Rachel, the one he married seven years later. The conversation is so natural between them, and Jacob laugh is easy.
Leah turns away, tears filling her eyes. She knows Jacob loves Rachel more than her. The only reason he married Leah was because her father tricked him; Jacob thought he was marrying Rachel. She still remembers the look of disappointment  and dread when she took off her veil and revealed the harsh truth. "Why can't he love me, Lord? she whispers. "Why can't he love me like he loves Rachel?"
A pang of nausea doubles her over. She has been sick for more than a week with a queasiness that takes her down without warning. She lifts her hear and places a hand on her stomach with sudden understanding: There is a child! Joy fills her heart because Leah knows she is loved. She is loved her creator who thinks she is beautiful and worthy of attention. She watches Jacob and Rachel, no longer completely jealous. As she puts a hand to her belly, she smiles. Leah became the mother of Jacob's first four sons and his daughter. David's royal line traces back to her son Judah - a line that would eventually include Jesus. Do you feel unloved or unworthy for attention? God loves you, and he wants to use you in a mighty way.

Are you serious?

Imagine how Noah must have responded when God said, "Hey Noah, the world is evil, and I'm sorry I ever made all these people. Ive decided to wipe them out. You're my  friend so I'm going to give you some direction on how to build an ark. That way, you, your family, and the animals can survive a flood."
Beads of sweat forms on Noahs forehead, and he feels a bit faint. "You want me to build an ark? What is an ark anyway? And all those animals? By the way, did I just hear you say you're destroying the world? I think I need to sit down."
The Bible doesn't record Noah's thoughts, but if he was like most human beings, he probably felt pretty scared and hesitant about this huge tast from God. But Noah ended up doing everything God commanded, which clearly shows the reason Noah was God's man for the job. he was faithful and obedient. He knew him just as well as you know your best friend. And because Noah knew God, he trusted him.
God probably never ask you to do something crazy like build a gigantic boat to prepare for the end of the world, but he may ask you to do something that's way out of your comfort zone. Listen today for his voice. Whatever God asks you to do, know that you can trust him and don't be afraid to follow where he leads.

He does!

Can you believe how known and treasured you are? Well, you better believe it. He knows you way better than any human ever could and adores you more than you can even comprehend. Yes, you are precious to the Lord of the universe, and he wants to be  as close to you as he possibly can. He specifically has his eyes on you and his ears  tuned in to you. He reaches out with his heart of compassion, his mind of wisdom, and his arms of protection. The God of the Bible is so near, so loving, and so personal - any messages to the contrary is a flat-out lie.

Wednesday White 2

Two friends from Ohio and Pennsylvania came three weeks ago for a visit. We decided to take them to DC to see places they haven't  seen before. They decided to go to the botanical gardens to my delight. I have heard a lot of beautiful things about the gardens, and I wanted to see it. I was glad that the temperature was not as humid and hot as the previous days otherwise it would have been a HOT and sweaty day for us. If you want to go to DC, you don't take your car because finding a parking lot would be a problem, and the traffic is horrible too. So we always take the metro. The garden was enchanting! It was vast with different kinds of flowers and bushes. They also have the banana tree there.  I was so thrilled when I saw it. So anyone who plans to visit Washington, DC should stop by at  the Botanical Gardens. I know that Raya would love to visit this place.

Nada, zilch, zero

Before God gave the word that something should exist, nothing did. What a crazy concept to grasp. There was nothing but big empty void. The Creator was moving over all this nothingness one day, and with one word he supernaturally spoke order into existence. A few more words and a week later, its all done. He sits back, admires his work, and props his feet up for a nice, long afternoon nap.
If anyone ever deserved a good rest, God did. He didn't just throw together some life forms... he created digestive systems, reproductive processes , and everything else that goes with life.
Its mind bogging, isn't? he's an unfathomably big GOD. And every pair of eyes reading this now belongs to someone created in His image. You have an eternal value, just like every tiny detail of God's first week of work. Never forget that you're the creation of a good and wonderful God!

DMV Practice Tests

I probably would have my driver's license now had I not thought about the hassle of getting one. The idea of studying page after page just discourages me, especially when there's no assurance that what I study would be part of the test. I don't want to fail and come back  to retake the test again.

Thanks to the  CA DMV Practice Tests for creating a remarkable study guide to make things easier for everybody to pass the test. The materials are available at their site. It's NOT free because these people who made these materials put their effort into making everything possible for you and me to pass the driving exam on the first try. They also offer online practice tests which enable you to familiarize yourself with the setup of the test. This would help you feel more comfortable when you finally take the actual written exam.

I know that everybody wants to pass the driver's written test on the first attempt. The DMV  practice test is a proven tool in succeeding at that goal. Life is a little bit easier if there's help close by; and if you are not happy with the result, you are guaranteed to get your money back.
