After Matthews graduation, we decided to go to Shenandoah Valley, Virginia for a hike. We spent our two days there just hiking. It was a wonderful time for us. The boys enjoyed climbing and pretending that they were walking towards the Promised Land. It was also the first time that daddy did not have to carry one of them on his shoulder like he used to do. I'd say, they are definitely growing! We also were able to enjoy ourselves watching one movie that I've been wanting to watch. Hmm, what was the title again? the latest Indiana Jones!. We are hoping to go back there again in the fall to enjoy the foliage and to hike the trails.
When our friends, Deb and Kay came for a visit, we visited Washington DC's botanical gardens and spent time at the park where we played miniature golf with them. It was Matt's first time to play, and he was really enjoying it while Everett did not. He said "Mommy, I am not good at this." I really smiled at that. He looked miserable because of the heat, and he looked tired and bored since it was around his nap time when we played golf. Before we finished the game, he was so tired that he started to cry. It is not everyday that he messes up his schedule. He got the train ride and enjoyed playing at the playground with other kids and played golf all in the same day. We had a nice time but a tiring one. It's always nice to have friends over. Spending time with them is really something I and my husband enjoy doing. I am really excited to move to Pennsylvania because it's where the family and friends are.
